Cottage and Stables on 1.25 acres at Straide, Co. Mayo, Ireland.
A beautiful property comes to the market located in the historic village of Straide - birthplace of both Michael Davitt, Land League Founder and George Moore. Located 9 miles east of Castlebar and 20 minutes from Ireland West Airport, it is only 2 and ½ hours to Shannon international airport and less than 2 and ½ hours to Dublin's M50 motorway.
This property would suit the equine enthusiast, those seeking to get on the property ladder, the holiday maker or indeed a musician as the property has wonderful acoustics.
The property is newly wired for both ESB mains connection and generator connection. The cottage is double blocked and very well insulated. For a minor spend, the existing cottage could be further modernised as a very cosy one or two bed dwelling. The property is connected to the local water scheme.
The equine facilities boast a very well finished yard with 4 tastefully completed stables with painted interiors, feed ménages and hayracks in each; with the 3 main stables complete with lighting and waterbowls. The yard also has a wash rack, small tack room and 14m lunge pen - all enclosed in a very well finished walled, gated yard. There is also a 70m X 30m grass arena for riding, jumping and turnout. The total area of the property is approx 1.25 acres.
For the horse person the area is ideal for producing horses with several quiet bye roads for hacking. Racing at Ballinrobe, Showjumping at Hanleys in Claremorris and hunting are all within 30 minutes. Golf and Fishing are in abundance with the world famous River Moy being 5 minutes away and 3 Golf courses within a 20 minute drive.
Every Wednesday Night at 7.30 p.m.
Auction will be held outside on every Wednesday Night at 7.30 p.m.
Otherwise, Items held in the Outside Yard can be bought as Straight Sales through the Office.
